Operations

Minera San Cristóbal has made investments in creation of the necessary transport, communications and public utilities infrastructure to exploit silver, zinc and lead safely and efficiently in its operations in the southwest of Bolivia.

In addition to ensuring effective operations, these significant investments also benefit the residents of the neighboring communities.

Altogether, to date MSC has invested approximately 1.8 billion dollars in Bolivia, the most significant foreign investment in mining in the country. The construction of infrastructure includes a total of 200 kilometers of roads, two bridges, 172 kilometers of an electrical power line and 65 kilometers of railway.

Moreover, the company has installed telecommunications facilities, telephone lines, Internet access, a better access to potable water, its own landing strip for access by air, and many other elements to improve its operations while at the same time improving the local standard of living.
