Our People, Health and Safety

For MSC its principal asset is its human resources. At present, we have a team of 1,400 workers distributed over the different areas of operation and support.

Besides contributing to the country with the generation of employment, the company offers its employees the best labor conditions, including: stability, a fair and competitive salary, permanent training, occupational healthcare and a warm working atmosphere, characterized by the promotion and exercise of ethical principles and values.

Concerning Industrial Safety and Occupational Health, MSC identifies, evaluates and prevents the occurrence of risks that may affect the safety, integrity and health of its workers, contractors and visitors.

Day-care Center “My Second Home”

Within its firm conviction of improving the quality of life of its workers and offering the best conditions for their children, Minera San Cristóbal started a project to improve the day-care center located in San Cristóbal. In this sense, it built and equipped a new Day-Care Center, called “My Second Home”.

Today, the day-care center receives more than 20 children and provides its services to the children aged 6 months to 4 years old of the company’s female workers. This service is provided the whole year round, both in the morning and in the afternoon. The children also receive meals at the center.

The Day-Care Center is equipped to provide specialized care to the children, according to the following age classification:

  • Baby Room: for infants aged under 18 months old.
  • Infant Room: for infants aged 18 to 24 months old.
  • Toddlers Room: for toddlers aged 2 to 3 years old.
  • Older Toddlers Room: for toddlers older than 3.

The day-care center also counts with a comfortable gym room for cognitive, social, motor and language stimulation and development activities with the children. It also has games for didactic purposes, psychomotor development and recreation. And it has a fully-equipped kitchen to prepare the children’s meals based on a varied, nutritious and balanced menu.
