The 24th World Mining Congress begins today in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil

Bolivia will be represented at the important meeting

Innovation and sustainability in mining will be the focus of 24th World Mining Congress to be held from today in Rio de Janeiro and will run until October 21 with the participation of 19 countries, including Bolivia, according to the document information of the momentous event in the extractive sector.

“Mining in a World of Innovation” is the theme that will bring together the most important mining companies from all continents, at this meeting that is carried out every three years.

Congress has as main objective to promote cooperation for development of the areas and mineral resources, and will bring together senior executives of major mining companies, who for four days to discuss different topics around the latest innovations, social, economic and environmental aspects crucial for this activity.

“It is essential to think sustainably when the subject is mining and the World Congress is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and discuss new scientific developments related to the issue,” said Kulvir Singh Gill Senior Director of CLAREO and panelist of the event.

Participating countries include Brazil, Poland, Kazakhstan, India, China Luxembourg, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, Sweden and Bolivia, among others.
